Working with AM2PM Quality Care

You will need access to a car and a full UK driving licence. We cover mileage when you’re on the clock. You won’t need any qualifications such as GCSEs or a degree, but first aid skills and an NVQ in health and social care to level 2 or 3 are desirable.

What does a home care worker actually do?

What does a home care worker actually do?

You’ll be a friendly face who visits our clients and tends to their physical, mental, and social needs. You may be required to help around the house, provide personal or continence care, or run errands.

If you have specialist training, you may also care for people with complex conditions, administer medication or provide feeding assistance.

You must be aged 18 or over to work at AM2PM Quality Care, but you don’t necessarily need experience in the care sector. We ask for a warm heart and open mind, and we’re keen to hire compassionate people from the local community. We also value your life experience, if you’ve looked after a friend or relative, you’ll have picked up relevant skills.

We’ll check your references and ask for proof that you are entitled to work in the UK. All staff have annual DBS checks and we carry out routine spot checks to make sure everyone is delivering the highest standards of care.

All new staff have face-to-face training and a full induction. Your first week will be spent at our office before you start shadowing an experienced care worker. When you’re fully trained and confident, you can start visiting clients on your own.

We have an exciting opportunity to start a new career in home care. The role involves supporting elderly and vulnerable clients in their own homes. No prior experience is necessary, we will provide full training and support.

  • £12.50 to £14 per hour (depending on experience)
