Compassionate home care in Banstead and across Surrey

Support for people living with complex conditions or needing extra help around the house

Home care allows you to live comfortably in your own house while maintaining your independence. We offer home care in Banstead, Ashtead, Epson, Ewell and Leatherhead. Care is tailored around the needs of the person receiving it, so whether you’re living with a complex medical condition or need help with the chores, you’ll receive the right level of care from the right care worker.

“Working at Am2pm has been one of the best choices I’ve made. It gave me opportunities to meet lovely people like my colleagues and the privilege to care for people, meeting their needs and being supportive physically, emotionally and mentally, which is the greatest blessing to humanity.”

Leonard Funmilayo, Care Worker

What can my care worker help me with?

Your care worker is there to make your life easier and keep you company. They’ll visit as little or as often as you need them, and if your care needs change over time, we’ll adapt services to make sure you always get the care you need. If you’re eligible for meals on wheels, we can also arrange to have hot, nutritious meals delivered to your door – and be there to serve it to you.

How does home care work?

People starting home care have a lot of questions about how it all works. Let’s break it down into what happens at every stage.

Before starting care

Before starting care

Get in touch to let us know you’re interested in starting care for yourself or a loved one. We’ll have a chat on the phone, and arrange a time to visit the person receiving care at their home.

We’ll check that it’s a safe environment for our care workers and the person living there, and put together a care plan. This is a written document detailing how often we’ll visit and the level of care we’ll provide.

We will share a copy of this document and a contract for you or your loved one to sign before anything else happens. If you decide it’s not for you, we can adapt the plan or you can make alternative arrangements – you’re under no obligation to continue unless you want to.

During visits

During visits

When the contract is signed, we’ll start visiting at the agreed time. It can be right away or on a specified date. Our goal is to have a team of two or three regular care workers visiting, so you’ll get to know your care team. If this isn’t possible due to shift patterns or because of annual leave, we’ll send alternative care workers with the right skills.

If you don’t feel like your care workers are a good match or you find you need people with different skills let us know. We’ll always accommodate you if possible, and we try to match clients and care workers who will get on well.

Visits are at least 30 minutes long. If you need full-day or overnight care, we can arrange that, and if necessary, we can provide live-in care workers.

Between visits

Invoices are sent every week after your visits. You’ll never have to pay your care worker directly or any additional hidden fees. Costs are clearly laid out in your contract, and we’ll notify you of any changes. If you want to change anything about your experience, you can contact us at any time. We’re always happy to listen and help.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
